Argaka Village - Cyprus

Argaka, Cyprus Argaka Village just 12 minutes east of Polis town, the drive is one you will enjoy as it takes you alongside the coastline and natural beach areas. The village is made up of Pano (higher) and Kato (lower) Argaka. Pano Arkaka spreads its boundaries right down to the Kato Argaka at the beach. In some of the locations higher up in Argaka you will find stunning views of the bay and the coastline while in others you will find yourself listening to the sea being just five minutes away.
 
 
Argaka is situated under the pine forest of Paphos and the rolling hillside that takes you to the Troodos Mountains. The village established as a dwelling place for locals who traditionally have worked in Farming industry, Wheat, black eye beans, olives and many vegetables are farmed as well as orchards and citrus fruits.
 
 
The population of the area has been increasing for many years. According to the Muktar the village population in 1881 was 90 and the last count in 2001 gave a figure of 793. Many Europeans have made Argaka their home and the population at present count more than 1.000. Arkaga as a very rich cultural history and many ancient churches and monasteries can be found. The area has many restaurants, shops, supermarkets, hotel apartments, holiday villas, bars and a picnic place, so you will never be to far from one or the other.
